1.32pm: taste of jonathan’s steamed duck egg noodle soup at trang vietnamese



2pm: banana chips from mick’s nuts in the car in south bank with jonathan
2.05pm: cinnamon coated almonds near south bank with jonathan


3.52pm: calpis in borders in the city with jonathan
4.46pm: cinnamon coated almonds in the car in the city with jonathan


6.27pm: rare beef steak with onions; poached chicken with ginger, soy sauce, shallot and mustard dipping sauce; eggs with chives and bbq pork; mixed stir fry vegetables; pan fried prawns (which I didn’t eat); oyster mornay; steamed whole fish with ginger, shallots, garlic and soy sauce; sticky sweet and soy pork ribs; deep fried tofu and mince balls; steamed chinese green vegetables; steamed chicken pieces with preserved vegetables; steamed white rice; banana and mango juice at mum and dad’s place with jonathan, mum, dad, grandpa, grandma, grandma, peter, susanna, theresa, colin and simon

Wow what a feast at your parents place! who does all the cooking? seems like a lot of effort for a family dinner... we're more used to just making a big pot of something and eating it for days.. sniff

my mum does all the cooking when we go to their place. i think she enjoys cooking, but then gets a bit stressed about planning menus. that was a pretty impressive dinner.

my uncle (mum's brother) doesn't visit much, so i think mum went to a bit of extra trouble.

i made the tiramisu.

you can only come over if you eat pork! larissa once came to our place for christmas and i forgot to tell mum that she doesn't eat pork. so there was heaps of stuff that she couldn't eat. i didn't realise how much pork we eat until that christmas!
